'Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince' gets the IMAX 3D Treatment

by Joey Paur

The last thing we heard about 'Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince' fans were pissed off at Warner Bros. for moving the films release date from this November to next summer. I am not sure if this news will take some of that bitterness away but WB and IMAX have announced that this next Harry Potter film will get 25 min of IMAX 3D. Here is what Comingsoon had to say:

Last month, during the IMAX Corporation's 2008 Q2 Earnings Report conference call, Rich Gelfond, the Co-Chairman and Co-CEO of the IMAX Corporation told shareholders, "we believe this film will include approximately 25 minutes in IMAX 3-D split between the opening sequence of the film and the finale."

Order of the Phoenix got a 20 min IMAX 3D face-lift. I actually did not get a chance to see it so I didn't really know what I was missing. It it made a big difference and it gets the fans excited awesome. It should be cool to see what scenes they decide to go 3D with. What scenes do you think they will be?
