Martin Scorsese's next film 'Ashecliffe' will be One of his Best

by Joey Paur

The next film Martin Scorsese has coming out is a amazing story called 'Ashecliffe'. It is based on a novel called 'Shutter Island' by Dennis Lehane. When I got word Scorsese was turning this book into a movie I went out and bought it, read it, loved it. The Book follows two US Marshalls and their investigation into the disappearance of a mental patient from a Massachusetts asylum durring the 1950's.

After I read the book I knew for a fact that this movie was going to be nominated and possibly win several Academy Awards including Best Picture. Since Scorese was directing it I knew he would not screw it up. You also have two amazingly talented actors in it Leonardo DiCaprio and Mark Ruffalo. Which if they do their best will be nominated as well, and why wouldn't you do your best for Marty? Ruffalo has said:

"It is Martin Scorsese's playground with this movie. He gets to do everything he loves about film," Ruffalo insisted. "He does noir, fantasy sequences, dream sequences, madness, suspense, tough urban stuff. It's absolute madness and twist upon twist. This could be one of his great films."

So what he's saying is that Scorsese had a blast making this film, and was able to flex his creative mojo. MTV goes on to say:

Anybody who has read the book, however, could tell you that the film is about so much more than the basic plotline sketches at. Ruffalo, would rather some of that remain a mystery, the actor only going so far as to say that it's "so much bigger."

Bigger than the book?! The book was amazing! I don't know how it could get any better but if it can then I will be there to watch it unfold. I honestly can't wait to see this movie. I really do hope it is one of his great films.
