We have yet another Neil Gaiman story that will make its way to the big screen! This guy has quite an imagination and his stuff is always cool to read and watch when the studio doesn't screw it up like with Paramount's 'Stardust'. 'Coraline' looks pretty amazing though, I'm looking forward to that one. Gaiman actually appeared on this mornings Today show to talk about 'Coraline', it was in this interview that he raveled who would write and direct his Newberry winning novel 'The Graveyard Book' movie.

That persons name is Neil Jordan. If you are not familiar with his work he directed films such as; The brave One, The Good thief, The Butcher Boy, Michael Collins, Interview with the Vampire, and The Crying Game. The guy is a very good director and it should be cool to see what he does with 'The Graveyard Book'.

I have not read the book yet, but will get around to it before the movie hits theaters. Here is a description for the book in case you don't know what it is about:

Nobody Owens, known to his friends as Bod, is a normal boy.

He would be completely normal if he didn't live in a sprawling graveyard, being raised and educated by ghosts, with a solitary guardian who belongs to neither the world of the living nor of the dead.

There are dangers and adventures in the graveyard for a boy-an ancient Indigo Man beneath the hill, a gateway to a desert leading to an abandoned city of ghouls, the strange and terrible menace of the Sleer.

But if Bod leaves the graveyard, then he will come under attack from the man Jack—who has already killed Bod's family. . . .

Yes, this sounds like a pretty incredible story and I can't wait to read it and see how the movie will be done! From what Gaiman has said it will be a live action movie.
