Trailer: Wes Craven's 'The Last House of the Left'

by Joey Paur

Venkman here with a trailer for a new movie from Wes Craven called 'The Last House on the Left', it actually doesn't look to bad. Oh yeah, I almost forgot its a remake of a 1972 horror/thriller film by the same name. The original film was directed by Wes Craven as well, it is actually the film that pretty much launched his career. The tagline for the original film was "To avoid fainting, keep repeating "It's only a movie...It's only a movie..." I myself am not a big fan of movies being remade, but the question is... is it ok for a director to remake his own film? I guess it makes the remake a little more bearable.

The Last House on the Left. Bringing one of the most notorious thrillers of all time to a new generation, they produce the story that explores how far two ordinary people will go to exact revenge on the sociopaths who harmed their child.

The night she arrives at the remote Collingwood lakehouse, Mari (Sara Paxton) and her friend are kidnapped by a prison escapee and his crew. Terrified and left for dead, Mari’s only hope is to make it back to parents John and Emma (Tony Goldwyn and Monica Potter). Unfortunately, her attackers unknowingly seek shelter at the one place she could be safe. And when her family learns the horrifying story, they will make three strangers curse the day they came to The Last House on the Left.
