Sounds like Wes Craven will indeed Direct SCREAM 4

As you've probably heard, The Weinstein's are in the process of getting a new Scream trilogy off the ground that will be a continuation of the first trilogy of films that were made back in the late 90's. As of right now, Neve Campbell, David Arquette and Courtney Cox are on board to return to the franchise in some capacity, but they probably won't be very big roles in the film. We knew that Wes Craven would produce the project, but we've been waiting to hear if he is going to direct it or not. I would be much more interested in the project if he did, and it looks like he will be if you believe the sources over at cinemablend.

I hope "the" Craven returns to direct it! He did such a great job with the first three, and really knew how to work the audience with his style and amazing cameo appearances. Hell, Drew Barrymore's career was reignited after the first Scream film. It's been about 10 years since Scream 3, and since then Craven has done a few projects, nothing too crazy. He did Red Eye and an upcoming serial killer film previously called 25/8 which has recently been renamed to, My Soul to Take.

Kevin Williamson, who wrote the first three Scream films is back to write Scream 4 and I assume the rest of the films. I like that everyone involved with the original trilogy will be returning for the next Scream film. That's a big selling point for me. What do you all think about Craven coming back for more Ghost Face killing action?
