Simpsonized WOLVERINE comic-book Cover and Marvel/DC mural

We got a chance to check out the covers from the Hero Initiative's Wolverine: Weapon X 100 Project at the Long Beach Comic-Con last month. And by "check out," I mean some lady was desperately begging us to go up stairs and look at them.

Marvel printed off blank-cover copies of the recent Wolverine: Weapon X #1 and Hero got 100 artists to do an original Wolverine cover on each! Sounds awesome, but sadly most are just okay with a few gems here and there. The project is now complete, and you can check out a quarter of the gallery at Marvel. You will soon be able to bid on the covers through Hero's Ebay Page to help with their worthy cause. All the covers will also be compiled in a benefit book out in early December.

Perhaps not the "best," but by far my geekiest mash-up favorite, is the below, featuring a Simpson-ized version of Wolverine and Captain America. The cover reminded me a fantastically geeked out mural Dean did at SpringfieldPunx, which I put below as well.

In addition to the many Marvel and DC characters that get thrown through The Simpsons blender, are other movie and TV favorites, including characters and personalities from: Star Trek, Back To The Future, Donnie Darko, Arrested Development, Heroes, The Office, TNMT, and too many more to list off. Check it out and let us know what you think. Click image for full wallpaper.

Also be sure to check out this Marvel wall Mural.
