Livingston joins Carell & Rudd in DINNER FOR SCHMUCKS

Ron-Livingston

The co financing team of DreamWorks, Spyglass and Paramount, have added another funny man to Dinner for Schmucks, the new comedy from director Jay Roach(Meet The Parents/Recount).

Ron Livingston will join Steve Carell, Paul Rudd, and Zach Galifianakis in the adaptation of the Francis Veber-helmed French film Le dinner de cons.

Dinner For Schmucks centers on a group of friends who regularly invite the biggest schmucks(stupidest people) to dinner to ridicule them.

It's unknown whether or not Livingston will be a friend, or a "schmuck," either way, he'll be in good company.

You may recognize Livingston from TV dramas like HBO's Band of Brothers or ABC's quietly canceled Defying Gravity. But the man can bring the funny, as we've seen in Office Space, and in recurring voice roles for Family Guy and American Dad.

I'm LOVING the solid cast of dead panners, this could very well be the best comedy of 2010(fingers crossed). The aspect of putting Rudd and Carell together again for the first time since Anchorman and The 40 Year-Old Virgin is more than okay in my book. And Galifianakis has been my go-to-guy for "the funny" for the last 5 years.

Dinner For Schmucks aims to hit theaters July 23rd, 2010.
