The Shield Star Walton Goggins will Be Fighting PREDATORS
Robert Rodriguez's Predators is quickly and quietly moving forward into production. Casting is underway and so far we have Danny Trejo cast as a character named Cuchillo, who is described as a Mexican enforcer who has twin uzi’s strapped to his back.
Earlier this weekend we got word that Walton Goggins has been cast in the Nimrod Antal directed, Predators film. Goggins played Detective Shane Vendrell in FX's The Shield. No details were revealed on what character he will play in the movie. But, we can always make an educated guess.
There are seven main human characters in the story. Obviously Cuchillo is out. I would also count out Nikolai, the big Tussian, Isabelle is a girl, Mombasa is African American, and Hanzo, because he is Japanese. This leaves Stans, a prisoner from San Quentin, Edwin, a small man who is formally one of the FBI’s most wanted, and the main character in the film Royce. I don't think he will play Edwin because hes not really a small guy. I'm also not sure if he's got the look of a San Quentin inmate, not that I would know I have never been there, I'm just stereotyping. So my guess is he will be the lead character Royce. He looks like he could play a Royce, and I believe Royce is a cop in the movie, and Walter has played a cop. At the same time I'm not sure if he is movie lead material. I would say he is either going to be Royce or Edwin in case my prison stereotyping is off its game. I guess well have to wait and see.
Apparently the script for the film is awesome and is going to make fans very happy. For more information on that Click Here. The film takes place on a Predator games planet and seven humans kidnapped from earth have to survive as they are being hunted down by Predators as a challenge.
Goggins is a good actor and I think its great that he's been cast in the film. What do you all think?
