Terry Gilliam Says He's Found His Don Quixote

Terry Gilliam has said several times recently that he would love to make his film that was once abandoned, The Man Who Killed Don Quixote. There is a documentary film that you can watch called, Lost in La Mancha, which is the fantastic and sad tale for how The Man Who Killed Don Quixote fell off the face of the earth. He told us at comic con that he was working hard to bring it back, that it would eventually happen and that the script was being rewritten. Then at the recent premiere of his new film, The Imaginarium Of Doctor Parnassus, he said that the film is up and running, that the script is finished, and they've found their Don Quixote!

Gilliam says:

We're up and running again, we've rewritten the script and finally got it back, the budget's come in... and I think we've found our Quixote! But who's it going to be? Well, I'm not going to tell you, but it'll start next Spring.

This is fantastic news! Ever since I saw the documentary on the rise and fall of the film, I hoped that one day it would get done because it's such a crazy and fun story. I'm really looking forward to this film and I am so happy it will eventually see the light of day.

As for who is cast as Don Quixote, I have no clue! It's hard to even make guess at this point, but who would you like to see play Quixote? Could it possibly be someone who he has worked with before?
