Mia Wasikowska to star in Gus Van Sant's RESTLESS
Alice in Wonderland star Mia Wasikowska is in final negotiations to star in Gus Van Sant's next film project, Restless. The film is a dark coming of age drama. It is a complex tale of a teenage boy and girl who share a preoccupation with mortality. I wouldn't expect anything less form Van Sant. The have been several actresses up for the role but it looks like Mia is going to get the job. Producers are still out on the prowl for the male lead.
Bryce Dallas Howard's college buddy, Jason Lew wrote the script. She took it to her father Ron Howard who got Gus Van Sant to direct it. How lucky is that Jason Lew guy? Both Howards will produce the film along with Brian Grazer.
