What better way to help you celebrate All Saints Day, then presenting you kind folks with an interview with Clifton Collins Jr, star of Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day. The interview was conducted back in September, but the topic of the highly anticipated sequel to Troy Duffy's cult favorite Boondock Saints seemed to be the most prevalent subject in the interview, so we saved it just for this occasion.

All Saints Day picks up 8 years after the events of the first film. The MacManus brothers(Sean Patrick Flanery and Norman Reedus) are living a quiet life in Ireland with their father(Billy Connolly), but when they learn their beloved priest has been killed by mob forces, the duo return to Boston to bring justice to those responsible. Clifton stars as Romeo, the Saint's inside man into the mafia world, who befriends and aids the Saints in serving their no nonsense form of justice.

Clifton was EXTREMELY generous with his time, and quite accommodating. It was undoubtedly the most fun we've had during, before, and after an interview. He promises that Boondock Saints II is more action packed than it's predecessor. But we also got a chance to delve into Clifton's illustrious acting career, as well as his work as a producer and director, helming(among others) Zac Brown Band’s video for their #1 Platinum single, “Chicken Fried.” The video would go on to win a CMT Award for USA Weekend’s Breakthrough Video of the Year.

Most recently seen in Mike Judge's Extract and as Eric Bana's right hand man in J.J Abrams' Star Trek, Clifton often goes unrecognizable from role to role. He's notorious for being quite studious in preparing for films. He inhabits and lives in the skin of his characters so convincingly, that it is a wonder that he hasn't been(at the very least) nominated for an Oscar-- most notably for his pivotal and groundbreaking performances in Capote and Traffic.

Check out the interview and then go catch Boondock Saints: All Saints Day.
