Rob Marshall's NINE Feature Film Trailer
The Weinstein Company has released the new feature trailer for Rob Marshall's Nine, which has an all-star cast that includes Daniel Day-Lewis, Marion Cotillard, Penelope Cruz, Nicole Kidman, Judi Dench, Stacy "Fergie" Ferguson and Kate Hudson. The new trailer features a full on musical number by Hudson's character, singing about the main character of the story played by Day-Lewis. If you are a fan of musicals then this is definitely the movie for you.
Nine is a vibrant and provocative musical that follows the life of world famous film director Guido Contini (Day-Lewis) as he reaches a creative and personal crisis of epic proportion, while balancing the numerous women in his life including his wife (Cotillard), his mistress (Cruz), his film star muse (Kidman), his confidant and costume designer (Dench), a young American fashion journalist (Hudson), the whore from his youth (Ferguson) and his mother (Sophia Loren). The original 1982 Broadway production of Nine, nominated for twelve Tony Awards and winning five, including Best Musical, was directed by Tommy Tune, choreographed by Thommie Walsh, starred Raúl Juliá with music and lyrics by Maury Yeston and book by Arthur Kopit. The 2003 Broadway revival of Nine received eight Tony Award nominations and won two, including Best Revival of a Musical.
I hope this movie turns out good, the fact that it has Daniel Day-Lewis in it peeks my interest, because the guy doesn't make bad movies.
