Rachel McAdams denies SPIDER-MAN 4 Black Cat Casting Rumors

Last week word hit the street that Rachel McAdams was up for the role of Black Cat in Spider-Man 4. It looks like that might not be the case. Entertainment Weekly caught up with her and asked her about it and she tells them that it's just a rumor.

That’s a total rumor, I have to say. I was hanging out in Toronto the other day and someone came up to me and said, ‘I just heard you’re doing Spider-Man 4.‘ And I said, ‘Really? No one told me!’ It’s not true.

A rep for Sony Pictures concurs:

It’s an Internet rumor, as so many things are these days.

Well, even if she was cast in the role would she come out and say it? Probably not, because she might be not allowed to say anything. There's been many cases of actors or actresses denying they've landed a role in a film, only to be announced a little later as being officially attached. As for the internet rumors, there are a ton of them that end up being true. I guess we'll eventually find out who the full cast will be.
