THE ROAD TV Spot - Real Danger

Here's a new TV spot for the John Hilcoat film The Road that is well worth checking out. This film was incredible, it is definitely one of the best movies I've seen this year and I highly recommend seeing it when it comes out on November 25th. If you haven't read our review yet, check it out Right Here.

The movie stars Viggo Mortensen, Kodi Smit McPhee, Charlize Theron, Guy Pearce, and Robert Duvall. Based on Cormac McCarthy's beloved, best-selling and Pulitzer Prize winning novel, The Road is the epic post-apocalyptic tale of a journey taken by a father and his young son across a barren landscape that was blasted by an unnamed cataclysm that destroyed civilization and most life on earth.

This trailer makes the film look action packed, but don't let it fool you. This is not an action film, but it doesn't mean the movie isn't freakin' amazing. I also notice they show video clips of natural disasters at the beginning of the trailer, like thats what causes the world to be destroyed. I just want to clarify that they never say in the story what caused the end of the world. The Weinstein's are really going out of their way to market this movie as something that it's not. This is going to backfire on them because most people will be going into it expecting one thing and then getting another. That doesn't go over well with people, haven't studios learned that yet?

In a moment the world changed forever, but for one family the real danger was yet to come. Check out the trailer below and let us know what ya think!
