Last year we reported that Yogi Bear was going to get his big screen debut in a live-action animated hybrid movie. Just like we've seen in Alvin and the Chipmunks and Garfield. The question is, will this movie be just as bad? I'd like to think it wouldn't, but Hollywood still hasn't figured out how turn these great cartoons into decent movies. According to EW Warner Bros. is now in negotiations with three actors to join the film.

Anna Faris (House Bunny) would play Rachel in the story, a nature documentary filmmaker shooting Yogi and Boo-Boo for her next project. That seems like something she would do. It's just "one of those" roles. You know the role that pretty much anyone could play? Dan Aykroyd (Ghostbusters) will do the voice of the famous Yogi Bear, which is definitely a great choice. As for Justin Timberlake, he is in talks to voice Boo-Boo.

Eric Brevig (Journey to the Center of the Earth) is set to direct the Hannah-Barbara animated adaptation which will start shooting next month in Auckland, New Zealand.

I'm sorry, but this project is pretty pointless and it's a disaster waiting to happen. What do you guys think?
