Dan Aykroyd joins Simon Pegg and David Tennant in BURKE AND HARE

Word has just come out of AFM today, that Dan Aykroyd(Ghost Busters) has just joined the cast of his Blues Brothers director, John Landis' dark comedyBurke and Hare!!! The already stellar cast includes; Simon Pegg(Shaun of the Dead/Hot Fuzz), David Tennant (Doctor Who) and Bill Nighy (Underworld/Pirate Radio).

The true crime story of Burke and Hare, also known as the West Port murders, were crimes perpetrated in Edinburgh, Scotland, in 1827 and 1828. The killings were attributed to Irish immigrants William Burke and William Hare, who sold the corpses of their seventeen victims to the Edinburgh Medical College for dissection.

This is turning out to be a very promising project, with the right director at the helm and a brilliant comedic cast. There is still no word on who will be playing who. But it's safe to assume that Pegg and Tennant will play the title characters.

What do you think of Burke and Hare so far?
