Cameron Diaz to play a Raunchy BAD TEACHER

It's no secret that the majority of us here at GeekTyrant can't understand why Cameron Diaz keeps getting cast in movies -- EMH is the exception, he's the one guy in our group that defends her. If he was writing this article it would be a much different point of veiw. I just don't think she is a very good actress. I don't know if you saw The Box or not but she was awful in it, but she was cast in another movie.

The movie is being developed over at Columbia Pictures and it's a raunchy comedy called, Bad Teacher. The story centers on a foulmouthed, gold-digging middle-school teacher who, after getting dumped by her boyfriend, competes with a colleague for the affections of the school’s model teacher.

The movie will be directed by Jake Kasdan (Freaks and Geeks and Walk Hard: The Dewy Cox Story) off of a script written by The Office scribes Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky, who are also hard at work writing the Ghostbusters 3 script. The production is set to begin in the Spring in Los Angeles.

If you are wondering why Diaz was cast in this movie, the same producers of The Green Hornet (which Diaz also stars in) are producing Bad Teacher as well.

I hope it ends up being a funny movie, we at least know that it has decent writers. But will Cameron be able to deliver the comedy again? I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

What do you think?
