The two guys who wrote Marvel's Thor, Ashley Edward Miller and Zack Stentz, have been hired to write the script for a new vampire film being set up over at Paramount Pictures.

The movie is called Damn Nation and it is futuristic vampire story that is based on the Dark Horse comic book that was created by Andrew Cosby and  Jason Alexander (not the Jason Alexander from Seinfeld.)

Set in a U.S. evacuated after an attack from "inhuman nocturnal predators," the comic tells the tale of the survivors after the government has been forced to relocate to London while scientists search for a solution.

At one point Paramount had the rights to Twilight but never moved on it, so I guess they are kicking themselves in the ass right now. So now they are looking to cash in on the vampire craze with a comic book adaptation.

Not only have the scribes written Thor, but they have worked on the TV shows Fringe and Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles.

I haven't read the comic book Damn Nation, so I'm not sure how it will translate to the big screen, but it doesn't sound like anything we haven't already seen before.

What do you think about the DAMN NATION film adaptation? If you've read the comic let us know what you thought of the comic and how it will translate!
