FOX Confirms Bryan Singer directing X-MEN: FIRST CLASS & New Writers are Hired
Last night Bryan Singer announced that he would be returning to the X-Men franchise by directing the origin story of our favorite mutants with X-Men: First Class. Today FOX has confirmed that he will indeed return to the X-Men directing chair. On top of that they have hired a new writer to take on the script duties.
Jamie Moss is the man that will work with Bryan Singer on the project that will dive into the teenage years of the famous mutants. The original draft of the script was written by OC and Gossip Girl TV show creator Josh Schwartz. Moss has written a few scripts such as the live action adaptation of Ghost in the Shell, which we have yet to see, and Street Kings.
I was never really on board with Schwartz writing the script anyway, he is mostly involved with TV and I would be pissed if we got another crap TV version of an X-Men movie.
I'm just happy FOX and Singer were able to work everything out and get back to work. We can now actually look forward to another X-Men film!
