SAVED BY THE BELL Movie in the Works

Movieby Joey Paur

Yep. It's true. This is the moment you've all been waiting for! According o Pajiba a Saved by the Bell movie is officially in the works. I guess we shouldn't be surprised do to the fact that there are a ton of TV shows that have been and are being adapted into movies. This is one of those shows that I grew up watching, and I liked it, but I really don't care to see it brought to the big screen.

The movie apparently will not be the long awaited reunion episode that fans have been waiting for. The movie has been described as being based on the original 1990's series. So they are going to pretty much re-cast everyone and throw in a few original cast member cameos. The first actor that popped in my head to play Screech is Christopher Mintz-Plasse who you might know as McLovin.

I have no clue how they plan on turning this series into a movie. I just don't see how it can effectively work. It will probably just end up being a mediocre high school movie about teens dealing with their problems. It just doesn't seem really exciting at all. Who even knows if it will make it into production.

The film is being developed by Jon Shestack productions which made Ghost of Girlfriends Past and Dan in Real Life. They've secured the rights an they are currently looking for writers.

The big question is will they implement Zack Morris' famous "Time Out" trademark so he can talk to the audience?

What are your thought on Saved By The Bell coming to the big screen?
