Kevin Smith's COP OUT Movie Trailer

The first trailer for Kevin Smith's COP OUT film has hit the net and I gotta say there's been a lot of fuss regarding the title of this movie over nothing. Kevin Smith has always been hit or miss with me, I really liked his last film Zach and Miri..., and I was looking forward to seeing what he was going to bring us for his next film. But unfortunately his new movie Cop Out does not impress me at all.

As much as I like Bruce Willis and Tracy Morgan, the trailer didn't make me laugh or even chuckle. It looks like a cliché buddy cop movie, I don't see anything that makes it stand out above any of the other buddy cop films out there. I will say the movie definitely has a studio polish to it that none of his other films had, that's probably not a good thing.

The story follows two longtime NYPD partners on the trail of a stolen, rare, mint-condition baseball card find themselves up against a merciless, memorabilia-obsessed gangster. Jimmy (Willis) is the veteran detective whose missing collectible is his only hope to pay for his daughter's upcoming wedding, and Paul (Morgan) is his "partner-against-crime" whose preoccupation with his wife's alleged infidelity makes it hard for him to keep his eye on the ball.

The film also stars Sean William Scott, Adam Brody and Kevin Pollak.

Who knows, maybe they left all of the good stuff out of the trailer. Check it out below for yourself, and tell us what you think! Does this trailer make you want to see this new Kevin Smith film?
