Adam Sandler gets the whole gang together for a New Comedy

by Joey Paur

It's been a long time since we have seen a good comedy from Adam Sandler but maybe he has a few more tricks up his sleeve and he is bringing some old friends along for the ride. Kevin james, Chris Rock, Rob Schneider, and David Spade are currently in negotiations with Columbia Pictures to star in the comedy that has yet to be given a title. Variety reports:

Frequent Sandler collaborator Dennis Dugan ("You Don't Mess With the Zohan") will helm, with the studio gearing up for a summer start date.

Sandler's Sony-based Happy Madison shingle, which recently teamed with James and the studio on the box office hit "Paul Blart: Mall Cop," is producing.

Sandler penned the screenplay with "Dickie Roberts: Former Child Star" scribe Fred Wolf. High-concept story is a comedy about five best friends from high school who reunite 30 years later on a Fourth of July weekend.

It would be great if we got another good comedy from Adam Sandler. He was on a roll in the 90's but has since dropped the ball with comedies such as 'I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry' and 'Don't Mess with the Zohan'. The last movie I really liked of his was '50 First Dates' back in 2004. He's got a decent cast of Saturday Night Live 90's alumni lets hope they can all bring us a great comedy and remind us that they are still funny.
