Update! The 'A Nightmare on Elm Street' Remake just got more Nightmarish with Lindsay Lohan

Wow. I didn't think it could get any worse. I just watched the 'Friday The 13th' crap fest, the same production company that made it is making the 'A Nightmare on Elm Street' remake so it was bound to suck just as bad, and that not even knowing who they cast as the female lead! Now that Lindsay Lohan has taken the role I couldn't be more not excited. The producer Andrew Form confirmed this news with justjared and here is what they say:

"We were lucky to receive a call from Jason Weinberg, Lindsay's manager. He called us to tell us that Lindsay was very interested in the film and wanted to be a part of it. We called Jason back after Wesley Strick finished the script and asked if Lindsay wanted to look at the first draft. She looked it over and loved it. She thought this was the perfect vehicle for her."

Oh brother, that because she is a train wreck and has nothing better going on.

"Michael, Bradley and I couldn't imagine having a better actress for the part and without an audition we cast her," Andrew adds.

Really! Out of all the actresses in Hollywood these guys lack the imagination to imagine getting a better actress for the role!? Are you kidding me!? Then Andrew goes on to boast that they brought Lohan on and cast her without an audition? Wow this guy is a class act. Oh Hollywood, have you not yet learned from your mistakes?

Another downside to this is that she was cast as the lead. This means they rob the audience of the pleasure of seeing Lohan die on screen at the hands of Freddy Kruger.

We reported earlier this week that music video director Samuel Bayer will be directing the remake.
