Jeffrey Dean Morgan Cast in The LOSERS

If you don't already know who Jeffrey Dean Morgan is he is the actor that plays The Comedian in the upcoming film 'Watchmen' and the guy is a great actor. He was recently cast in a new Warner Bros movie being directed by Sylvain White called 'The Losers'. Morgan will play Clay, the leader.

This comicbook has had two versions. One that was published in the 1970's that takes place during Second World War, a Special Forces group composed of personnel from all branches of the armed forces was formed. The members were Captain William Storm, a former PT Boat commander with a wooden leg and an eye-patch; Johnny Cloud of the U.S. Army Air Force, known as "The Navajo Ace"; Sarge Clay, one of the oldest serving Marines, and Gunner Mackey, one of the youngest. Because each member had suffered the deaths of personnel under their command for which they felt responsible, they dubbed themselves The Losers.

And one that was updated in 2004 which is set in the present day, concerns a team of special forces soldiers who declare war on the Central Intelligence Agency after their Agency handler tries to assassinate them.

Variety reports:The James Vanderbilt-scripted project is being financed by Dark Castle Entertainment with Dark Castle's Joel Silver, Weed Road's Akiva Goldsman and Kerry Foster producing.

They will most likely pattern the film after the newer version even though the older version sounds much better.
