Green Hornet has Found a New Director

by Joey Paur

Michel Gondry has been officially set to direct Seth Rogan and Evan Goldbergs film 'The Green Hornet'. As you know this movie has gone through a lot already and it hasn't even begun production yet. Everyone was pretty freakin excited when Stephen Chow was brought in to direct the film, but then he ended up not wanting to direct it due to either creative difference's. It is still up in the air whether or not he will still star in the film as Kato. I have not heard if he has dropped from the that role or not. After that, rumors start to spread that the movie was not going to happen at all, but Seth came in and said they still planned on doing it if they could find a director, and it looks like they have.

Do you know who Michel Gondry is? If not let me tell you, I think the guy is going to do a great job! Some of the films you may recognize that he directed include: 'Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind', 'Be Kind Rewind', and an episode of 'Flight of the Conchords'.

'The Green Hornet' is going to be a comedy action film. So it should be interesting to see how Gondry handles action since he has not really made an action film before. But the guy has a knack for comedy and creating really interesting atmospheres on film. I am happy to see the project will be moving forward, it will be interesting to see where he ends up taking 'The Grean Hornet'.
