I was listening to a local radio show here in Los Angeles this morning 106.7 KROQ Kevin & Bean and they had a guest on their show by the name of Bo Burnham, an 18 year old musical comedian. It kind of reminds me of what Adam Sandler used to do when he was younger with those comedy songs he would perform.  Burnham's career kind of took off by accident, he would record himself doing his little musical bits and put them up on YouTube so his brother in college could see them, and from there he pretty much made it a career. You know how YouTube can be. Burnham said he had no idea the videos would take off like they did.

Judd Apatow ended up catching one of his shows and afterword's they talked. Apatow asked him if he would be interested in writing a Musical Comedy for a feature film and of course Burnham yes. I had never heard of this guy until today and I just watched a some of his videos and the guy gets pretty damn creative and I can see why Apatow brought him in to write this musical, the kids comedy is right up his ally. It's fun and it's dirty. Below are a few videos that you can check out. Do you think Burnham has got the stuff to write a good comedy?

i'm bo yo.
