Amanda Seyfried is out of Zack Snyder's SUCKER PUNCH

by Joey Paur

Dog-gone-it! I thought she was perfect for the role she wopuld be playing in Zack Snyders next film project Sucker Punch which is a 1950's period film about girl who is trying to hide from the pain caused by her evil stepfather and lobotomy. She ends up in mental institution and while there she starts to imagine alternative reality. She plans to escape from that imaginary world but to do that she needs to steal five objects before she is caught by a vile man. Snyder says it is going to be crazy ultra viloent.

Now it looks like Snyder's lead girl Amanda Seyfried who was going to play Baby Doll is out due to schedulaing conflicts with the HBO series Big Love. HBO will not release her for her commitment, so that kind of sucks. I would hate to be in that position, to have the opportunity to be in a awesome film and not be able to do it. Not sure who Snyder has in mind to replace her though.

Now that cast includes: Vanessa Hudgens (High School Musical), Abbie Cornish (Stop-Loss), Evan Rachel Wood (The Wrestler, Across The Universe), and Emma Stone (Superbad) are in talks to join the all-female cast in the 1950’s set film that takes place in an Insane Asylum.

It should be interesting to see who he brings in to replace her. Anyone have any suggestions?
