Early Look at SHUTTER ISLAND Movie Teaser Poster
"Whatever happened to patient 67?" Thanks to RopesofSilicon we have out first look at a teaser poster for Martin Scorsese's next film 'Ashecliffe' based on the novel by Dennis Lehane 'Shutter Island'. This is a movie that I can not wait to see. I read the book and thought is was incredible, I can only imagine the movie will be just as good with the people that are involved with it. Not only is Scorsese directing by the film stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Mark Ruffalo, Ben Kingsley, Michelle Williams, Patricia Clarkson and Jackie Early Haley. It is my prediction that this movie is going to be a very strong Oscar contender, it has everything the Academy loves in a movie.
The story follows two U.S. Marshals named Teddy Daniels (Leonardo DiCaprio) and Chuck Aule (Mark Ruffalo) who are sent to Shutter Island, a small island in Massachusetts’ Outer Harbor, home of Ashecliffe Hospital for the Criminally Insane, to find an escaped murderous patient in the Summer of 1954. Here is the official plot description of the film:
“But nothing at Ashecliffe Hospital is what it seems. And neither is Teddy Daniels. Is he there to find a missing patient? Or has he been sent to look into rumors of Ashecliffe’s radical approach to psychiatry? The closer Teddy and Chuck get to the truth, the more elusive it becomes, and the more they begin to believe that they may never leave Shutter Island. Because someone is trying to drive them insane. . .”
This is one of my most anticipated movies of the year and if you have not yet heard of it put it on your list because it's going to deliver.
