Tobey Maguire set for 1961 Grand Prix film THE LIMIT
It is always nice to see a great actor like Tobey Maguire to do a movie where he is not Spider-Man. Columbia Pictures is currently getting a hold of the screen writes to a film that want to make called 'The Limit' which is about rival Grand Prix drivers. Maguire will play Phil Hill, who raced against his good friend and Ferrari teammate in the 1961 Drivers Championship. Variety reports:
Maguire and Jenno Topping will produce for Maguire Entertainment, and Cathy Schulman will produce for Mandalay Pictures, with Scarlett Lacey involved in a producing capacity as well.
This will be the first movie to come out of Maguires production company they have been working on a couple of projects for some time now like 'Tokyo Suckerpunch' and 'Robotech' who knows when we will get to see those movies. Anthony Peckham will write the script, for the movie which is based on a book by Michael Cannell that will be published this fall by the Hachette Publishing division Twelve. Peckham also wrote 'Sherlock Holmes' for Guy Ritchie and 'The Human Factor' for Clint Eastwood.
This should make for a good movie. What do you think?
