Would be be interested in seeing the video game Fallout being adapted into a movie or TV series but it might be something that will eventually happen. The first step toward putting a movie or series like this into production was apparently taken back in February when Bethesda Software and ZeniMax media the developers of the game applied for the Fallout trademark for:

"Entertainment services in the nature of an on-going television program"

And

"Motion picture films about a post-nuclear apocalyptic world"

There is no word on whether or not that have started any type of production, but it is obvious that the video game developers have been thinking about it. If it goes TV series it would have to be Syfy or preferably HBO. I think it would make one hell of awesome movie though. But it has to have that same dark gritty hard core feel that the game has.

Here is a short plot summary of the game:

Fallout is set several years after several conflicts occuring in the world. China invaded Alaska some time after the second world war. The United States annexed Canada, and the Resource war (a war over control of the planet's last resources) occurs. After over 120 years of conflict, on October 23rd, 2077, a global nuclear attack occurred. Nobody knows who was the first to strike, but in less than two hours, the world and most major cities were almost completely devastated. The effects of the attack would not go away for more than 100 years. Even so, humanity lived on through the use of underground Vaults (many other out-of-Vault humans do survive, but are affected by radiation and the many other threats that the nuclear Wasteland has to offer).

This really could be an incredible film. I hope they end up pushing it to get made. Would you rather see a Fallout movie or TV show? Both? Or Neither?
