First Look Photo from the Set of TINTIN

by Joey Paur

I have been waiting in anticipation to see how this new Peter Jackson Steven Spielberg movie collaboration for Tintin turns out. Motion capture principle photography has wrapped and now Perter Jackson and Weta are hard at working building the CGI characters for the film. I am excited to see what this looks like. The photo below is nothing crazy but it does give you a behind the scenes look at how they have gone about making the movie. The people in the photo below are Jamie bell, Andy Serkis, and I'm sure you know who the other two guys are by now. The picture obviously comes from Empire Online and they have this to say:

This shot was taken during a few moments of down time on the set, and shows Tintin himself (Jamie Bell) and Captain Haddock (Andy Serkis) talking with Spielberg. You'll have to check out the issue itself for more on the film, including more pictures, and more on the cast involved (notably Simon Pegg and Nick Frost as Thompson and Thomson).

Steven Moffat, Joe Cornish and Edgar Wright wrote the screenplay, based on Hergé's massively popular books. The film's not due out until 2011, by which time CGI magic will have replaced those dots and greenscreens with pure awesomeness.
