Michael Bay's Small Movie Project 'PAIN & GAIN' Details
Michael Bay has decided to make a smaller more character based film as his next project. He wants to do this next film before he revs up Transformers 3. Bay has never really made a small movie, and the project he chose sounds pretty interesting.
The next movie he wants to make will be adapted from a Miami News article called 'Pain & Gain'. This is based on a true story that follows a couple of ding-bat steroid-abusing bodybuilders who end up becoming criminals that get involved in an extortion ring, and a kidnapping plot that goes very wrong. The story is described as 'Fargo' meets 'Pulp Fiction' or 'Point break' with Bodybuilders.
By has been wanting to make this little film for some time now and it sounds like he is finally going to be a ble to take it on. Bay recently said in an interview with MTV that it's a very funny Dark Comedy.
I am interested to see what Bay can do with a character based movie, with no car chase scenes, crazy action sequences, and no explosions. We will finally be able to see if this guy can really tell a good story based on a story and not on action. What do you all think?
