2 More Actresses leave Snyders SUCKER PUNCH but they've been Replaced

by Joey Paur

Zack Snyders next film Sucker Punch has had a few more casting changes. Two more of his actresses dropped out of the project due to Scheduling conflicts. Evan Rachel Wood and Emma Stone have left the asylum. I understand why Amanda Seyfried had to drop out because she was under contract with HBO. There is no word as to what the scheduling conflict involves. Perhaps they are going on vacation? Or maybe they were a little bitter about not getting bumped up to the lead role after Amanda had to leave the project. Taking Seyfried place is the beautiful Emily Browning, who came in from out of nowhere and took the part of Baby Doll.

One of the speculations as to why Wood and stone left is because Watchmen underperformed at the box office. I doubt this is the case because both of these actresses had made sub-par films that bombed at the box office. I could see if they were bigger stars but they aren't. There are so many different things that happen in this industry I wouldn't be surprised if it was just a couple girls that couldn't get along with the other girls in the cast. Who knows what the real reason behind it is, but they are out.

Taking the places of these two fine young actresses are Jenna Malone from 'Donnie Darko' and 'Saved' and Jamie Chung has come in fresh off the production of Dragonball Evolution.  Jenna Malone is the perfect person for a movie like this, I am surprised she didn't get cast in the first place. She is a great actress who I think is underrated in this business of filmmaking.

Sucker Punch is set in the 1950s, and centers on a girl confined to a mental institution by her evil stepfather, who intends to have her lobotomized in five days. While there, she imagines an alternate reality to hide from the pain and in that world begins planning her escape, needing to steal five objects to help get her out.

Gosh, I can't wait to see this movie! Snyder says it is going to be his most action packed movie yet, on top of that I have a weird fascination with the way insane asylums were run back in the day.  So you can sign me up.
