New KICK-ASS Photo of Chloe Moretz as Hit Girl

by Joey Paur

It has been a long time since we have had any 'Kick-Ass' movie news come in, but today we have our first real look at Chloe Moretz as the pre-teen assassin Hit Girl. This character spends her time training with her father Big Daddy and then puts her skills to the test by going out and slicing up bad guys with her samurai swords. She is best described as "Jodie Foster, Natalie Portman and Uma Thurman rolled into one… She kills, I think, 20 people in a minute."

Kick-Ass is based on the comic book by Mark Millar and is being directed by Matthew Vaughn. If you are not reading the comic book, I suggest you jump on in right now. It is one of my favorite comic books, because it really does speak to the geek in all of us and it's just a great story. Check out the plot summary below the photo. I am really looking forward to seeing these characters come too life. This movie is going to be incredible. I have also added a few more photos that you may have missed out on.

(beware of possible comic book spoilers): Dave Lizewski is a kid growing up in a rundown suburb of America, he isn’t a gamer, he isn’t a jock, he isn’t a mathlete, he’s just a regular kid. When he is not hanging out at the local comic store with his friends Todd and Marty, he is fantasizing about his school teacher and Katie Deauxma, the class hottie. The only thing that is unusual about Dave is that about a year ago his Mother died. But somehow through this blend of normality, teenage angst and irritation at being continually mugged, Dave makes the decision to become a superhero’ KICK ASS! Dave’s first foray into being a Superhero results in him being stabbed and run over. When Dave recovers he realises he can’t walk away from being a hero, and when he successfully steps in on a mugging he brings himself to the attention of the US media and Frank D’Amico could this be the guy who nicked his coke? As Dave gets sucked into the dark world of vigilante crime fighting he gains a sidekick named ‘Red Mist’.
