3 New Photos from Peter Jacksons THE LOVELY BONES

Here are three more production photos from Peter Jackson's next movie 'The Lovely Bones'. I'm really looking forward to seeing this movie. Have read the book and the story is pretty damn powerful, it should translate very well to the screen, especially with Peter Jackson at the helm.

This is the main character Susie Salmon played by Saoirse Ronan, who watches her family and friend from heaven as the deal with her brutal death. This is our first real look at the character and she looks pretty much the way I imagined she would.



Here is a photo of susie with her grandmother who is played by Susan Sarandon.



And this is Mark Wahlberg as Susies father. The role was originally supposed to be play by Ryan Gosling but he dropped out because he and Peter Jackson didn't see eye to eye on a few things. I am hoping that Jackson was able to direct Wahlberg better than the last two directors did. If you look closely you can see Susies father is working on a ship in the bottle, if you click on the picture at the top to see the hi res version you will see a ship in the bottle in the distance. If you've read the book you know the significance of this.



Another bit of information the may interest you is the the movie is fully complete and is currently being sat on until its December release so it has a chance at the big awards. Have you read the book? If so what do you hope to see in the movie.
