Artist Spotlight: Great Looking STAR WARS Fine Art By Christian Waggoner
Hey Gang! I came across this pretty cool Star Wars art this morning that i thought you would like. The paintings below were done by Christian Waggoner and he has been developing Star Wars fine art for ACME Archives Direct. These are just a few of several paintings he has created. The first three pictures are my favorite. It's like seeing classic moments in the Star Wars trilogy from a totally different perspective. If you look at the reflection of the eyes for the characters you know exactly what moment the artist is capturing.
The first picture below is one of the Storm troopers at the very beginning of the movie coming through the door of the Tantive IV and his first look at the Rebel Soldiers waiting on the other side.
This second painting of Darth Vader is the moment in A New Hope where he is battling Obi-Wan for the first time since Darth Vader fell into the lava pitt.
And here is our favorite Bounty Hunter Boba Fett in the moments after Han Solo was frozen in carbonite.
Here is a description of the artist and what he was trying to accomplish in the paintings.
An Atlanta native, Christian Waggoner brings a fresh new look to the world of Star Wars fine art. His uniquely enhanced photo-realistic style makes viewer wonder how he achieves such skillful detail with a mere brush and canvas. He has gained prestige and success through more than a decade of high-profile commissions including impressive paintings of athletes for the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta as well as this and future exciting new releases for the Star Wars fine art program. "Boba Fett" is an exploration of light and reflection which captures this unforgettable moment in the classic film from an entirely new perspective.
