Ridley Scott to Produce ALIEN Reboot Movie and They Have a Director
Not to long ago we brought to your attention the fact that Ridley Scott was playing around with the idea of developing a prequel or reboot to his classic sci-fi horror movie 'Alien'. I figured as long as Ridley Scott was involved it would be A-OK. Now an anonymous source over at blood-disgusting gives an update on what is actually going on. Here are a few points of information you will be interested in hearing about.
- The plan is to stick with the original concept of only one alien on the ship.
- Michael Costigan, Ridley Scott and even Tony Scott are all on board to produce the movie.
- Carl Rinsch has been brought on board to direct.
- The will bring a new Ripley to the big screen and it most likely wont be played by Sigourney Weaver.
I am happy to hear of Ridley Scotts involvement, I wish he was directing but at least he will have control on what ultimately happens in the movie. I also want to point out to you that Carl Rinsch is a commercial/music video director who actually works for Scott Free Productions owned by Ridley and Tony Scott.
I am a huge fan of the Alien series and I am pretty excited that it is being revived by the same people that brought us the original. After watching a bunch of commercials that Carl Rinsch has done I think he has got what it takes to bring a very good and new Alien movie to life. Click Here to check out his commercials. I am pretty confident that this is going to be something we will all be looking forward to if it all actually goes down this way.
What are your thoughts on this whole new Alien Reboot?
