Francis Ford Coppola's TETRO Movie Trailer

by Joey Paur

Here we have the first movie trailer for Francis Ford Coppola's next film 'Tetro'. This is the second film that Coppola has directed in the last 12 years! Tetro is also the first original screenplay he has written since 'The Conversation' which starred Gene Hackman. Apparently this is a very personal film for Coppola for the fact that the film is based off his memories and emotions from his younger years, at the same time the movie is completely fictional.

The movie stars Vincent Gallo, Alden Ehrenreich, Maribel Verdu, Klaus Maria Brandauer and Carmen Maura. Here is the story summary:

“Fresh faced and naive, 17-year-old Bennie arrives in Buenos Aires to search for his older brother who has been missing for more than a decade. The family had emigrated from Italy to Argentina, but with the great musical success of their father Carlo, an acclaimed symphony conductor, the family moved from Argentina to New York. When Bennie finds his brother, the volatile and melancholy poet Tetro, he is not at all what he expected. In the course of staying with Tetro and his girlfriend Miranda, the two brothers grapple with the haunting experiences of their shared past.”

Coppola has made some pretty incredible films in his career, and it is nice to see him directing again. The Black and White cinematography looks fantastic. Check out the trailer below.
