Taylor Kitsch Talks about what he wants to see in a GAMBIT Spin-off Film

by Joey Paur

When I saw X-Men Origins: Wolverine I was most excited to see what they did with Gambit's character played by Taylor Kitsch. It was alright but I was expecting a little more. It turned out Wade Wilson was the best part of the movie. Gambit is still one of my favorite X-Men characters and I wouldn't mind seeing a spin-off film for the character, if it done right. It really pisses me off that FOX owns the rights to these characters! It just means every X-Men movie we get is just going to be mediocre at best.

So if we did see a Gambit movie what is it that we could possibly see? Taylor Kitsch gives us his thoughts on where he would like to see the character Gambit go in his own movie. One of the things he would like to see come to life is Gambit's love interest with Rogue played by Anna Paquin.

"There are two things with that - she's such a great actress and I'd love to work with her, and that would be cool to see Gambit and Rogue,"

I think that this is a must have relationship in a Gambit movie. I wonder if Anna Paquin would even be interested in coming back to reprise her role. He goes on to say:

"I'd also like to see the charming Gambit on his own and see how he is with other women - see how he is with the women in the casino there, with the charm and the suave and the effortlessness it takes with him. That's something I'd like to explore as well."

So pretty much Taylor Kitsch wants to see Gambit get as much girly action as possible, but at the same time have Rogue as his main love interest. Well, that's all fine and dandy but I would also like to also see Gambit kick some major ass as well, and have it built around a good story.

I guess we will have to wait and see just how much money ‘X-Men Origins: Wolverine' brings in before FOX decides to move on a Wolverine Sequel, Magneto, Deadpool, or Gambit movies. I would love to see all of them, if Fox wasn't involved, but that's not going to happen.
