Has GREEN LANTERNS Hal Jordan Been Cast?

There are a lot of big casting decisions out there right now that we are all anxiously waiting to here about, like who will play Thor or who might play Captain America. Now another name has been thrown out into the web world of who might end up playing Hal Jordan a.k.a. The Green Lantern.

Bradley Cooper is the actors name, it was also a name that never came up in the many discussions that we have had regarding who would make the perfect Green Lantern, at the same time I think he is great for the role! He has got the look, the build, and he's the right age. Most importantly he is not a bad actor. He has mostly done comedy films. If you still don't know who I am talking about Cooper has stared in such films as ‘Wedding Crashers', ‘Failure to Launch', ‘Yes Man', "He's Just not that Into You', and most recently stars in ‘The Hangover'. Drew McWeeny from HitFix says:

Bradley Cooper is now one of the guys most likely to don the suit and slip on the power ring as The Green Lantern for director Martin Campbell.

Let's be clear: they have not hired him yet. But the process is far enough along that this is more than just a meeting or some spot on a wish list. Keep in mind that Campbell likes to see a lot of people when he's casting... and even when he's screen-testing, he seems willing to explore as many options as possible... but with the film set to shoot later this summer, they've got to start making their choices, and now's the time to put people in front of the camera and see who really works in the suit.

So this is not 100% solid, but he is the strongest possibility as of right now. Personally I think he is there guy and he will end up playing The Green Lantern for Warner bros.
