Marvel Animations new AVENGERS TV Series to be "The Best Show Ever"?

by Joey Paur

OK animation fans! Marvel Animation is currently developing a new animated series based on 'The Avengers', it will be called 'Avengers: Earths Mightiest Heroes', and according to it's writer and producer Craig Kyle this new Avengers series is "going to be the best show ever made." That my friends is what we call total, complete, and unshaken confidence. It has been a long, long time since I have seen a animated series that just blew me away. Not since the 90's have we seen an incredible animated series. It is about time we got something good. While talking to Comic Book Resources Kyle said:

It's going to be the best show ever made. I am so excited about "Avengers" I can't even tell you. It is the comic book put on screen. It is the classic team set in modern day. They're not fighting communists or anything. It is going to be big. It's Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Hulk, Ant-Man and Wasp. It's the team. It's what you know and love put right on the screen. We are well on our way. It's definitely in heavy production right now as for a premier I do not know? It may be tied to the future film, it may not, I just don't know... With "Hulk Vs." we really got controls taken off as far as violence goes with Wolverine and the Hulk. But I got to tell you, working on "Avengers," that's a cool show. As a comic book fan, I'm so excited about it. I think the reason that animated series get the edge now [over direct-to-DVD features] is because when they're good, you get a lot of more of them. "Hulk vs. Wolverine" was what, 33 minutes? So with shows like "Armored Adventures," "Wolverine and the X-Men" and the upcoming "Avengers," if they're good you get like thirteen hours of them.

I really hope the 'Avengers' show is as good as he says it is, because he has got me all pumped up about it now. The show will have 26 half-hour episodes which will premiere next year. Currently Marvel has 'Wolverine and the X-Men' which is ok, and 'Iron Man: Armored Adventures' which really isn't that good at all.

"The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes" is an all-new property featuring some of Marvel's all-time favorite characters including Iron Man, Hulk, Captain America, Thor, Giant Man and Wasp. When the planet is threatened by super villains, time traveling conquerors, alien invaders, mythical monsters and mad robots bent on the total destruction of humanity, when forces of evil are so overwhelming that no single hero has the power to save the world, when there is no hope left...the Avengers assemble!

What do you think? Out of all the animated series we love, what is your favorite, and do you think this new Avengers series has a chance of being the best? It would be awesome if it really was. I guess we will eventually find out.
