Must Watch: 500 DAYS OF SUMMER Expectations Vs. Reality Film Clip

I have been raving about this movie since I have seen it. The movie is smart and witty, the dialogue is real and clever. The story of these two people is told perfectly. This little film clip from the movie '500 Days of Summer' will give you an idea of what I am talking about, it was one of my favorite scenes of the film. 

Here is a little background of what happens before the film clip below starts off. Tom (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) is invited over to a little party at Summers (Zooey Deshanel) house who is now his ex-girlfriend. Tom is still not over Summer when this happens so he believes that this is his opportunity to win her over again. He has certain expectations when he goes to the party, and the events of that party play out in his head of how he thinks everything is going to go down. In the video below you will see the expectations he has play out on the left hand side. On the right hand side of the screen is what is happening in reality. The scene is brilliant and shows the originality of the movie and how it will stick out above the rest of the romantic comedies being made. 

This scene is actually longer in the film and has more impact on the story but this is a great example of what I have been talking about this whole time.

'500 Days of Summer' will be released in theaters July 17 of this year and everyone should see it! Enjoy the film clip!
