Hey Gang! Ryan Reynolds is back and talking about his Deadpool spin-off movie again. This is a movie that needs to be done right. None of this weak sauce Wolverine stuff. Perhaps FOX has learned their lesson and they won't make anymore bad movies, and stop making bad decisions. By the way Reynolds talks in this recent interview, it looks like he is going to get the Deadpool movie he wants to make. Here is what he has to say.

“I love it, because I get to be involved, and I’m such a huge fan of the character. I get to be the authentication police, in a weird way. To their credit — the studio’s credit — they want to make an authentic ‘Deadpool’ movie; they want to make it as close to the source material as possible.”

I have to say, I am very happy to hear that. But I assume that the studio will want to get as PG-13 close to the material as possible. I don't have a problem with that as long as the story is told properly. Remember 'The Dark Knight' was PG-13, but then so was 'Wolverine'.  But it looks like the studio has agreed to some Deadpool terms.

“He’s going to be the Merc with the Mouth, [we’re going to give] all those answers that everyone wants. He’s going to have the scarred-up face, he’s going to be in the suit — and, it’s going to be incredible.”

Sounding good so far? Reynolds seems very excited about what he is going to get to do. He just needs to make sure the right people come on board to develop the movie properly.

“Right now, it’s just a question of trying to figure out what is the spine of the story. Who is the villain? What does Wade and/or Deadpool want? And how do you tell that story? Are we going to see flashbacks to his old life, flash-forwards, present-day? We’re just trying to figure that stuff out.”

He seems very confident in his Deadpool movie, which is a good sign. I really want this movie to be everything Ryan Reynolds wants it to be. I think this has a chance. Because why in the hell would FOX want to make yet another crapfest X-Men movie?

What are you all thinking?
