TRANSFORMERS 3 without MICHAEL BAY?

TRANSFORMERS

This will probably come as a huge surprise, but it seems as though Michael Bay is done with the Transformers franchise. This news comes only days away from the release of the highly anticipated sequel Transformers: Revenge of The Fallen.

It seems Bay is pretty fed up with the critics preemptively bashing the Transformers movies, and his shooting style. Bay told Yahoo in a recent interview that...

It's easy to go shoot an art movie in a winery in the South of France. But people have no idea how hard it is to create something like Transformers. They (the critics) review me before they've even seen the movie.

Hey! I lived in a winery in South France... how dare you make fun of me. I can only imagine how he feels. Of course not everybody loves his movies. But I have to admit that Bay is under an unfair amount of scrutiny. Even though I don't think the movies are perfect, I absolutely love watching them. I think he's done a good job with the franchise, and I don't know how to feel about this. He continues saying...

After the three and a half years I've spent making these movies, I feel like I've had enough of the Transformers world.

But Michael, there's more than meets the eye man! Before you came along, the word "Unexplodable" was thrown around a lot. But you changed all that!!! All joking aside, there's no way he can walk away from the fun... or at very least the paycheck. But he closes saying...

I need to do something totally divergent, something without any explosions.

Somewhere in the world, there's a pyrotechnic crying his eyes out. Well if Bay's out, then who do you think should helm the next film? This could be a turn for the better. I don't think anyone will argue that there's a lot of directors out there who can deliver better acting and dialogue. But who can bring the action like Bay?
