Ryan Reynolds Gets Buried Alive in his Next Movie Role
Actor Ryan Reynolds who we all know as Deadpool from the film 'X-Men Origins: Wolverine' has signed up for his next project since 'The Proposal' which I have yet to see. His next film is a gritty indie film called 'Buried'. Reynolds plays a civilian contractor in Iraq who is kidnapped. He wakes up to finds himself in the worst possible situation... buried in a coffin in the dessert. What a freakin nightmare that would be! Of course he is left with a cell phone, a candle and a knife. I will be interesting to see how he gets out of this situation.
The concept is so simple yet is an incredible intense situation. Variety reports:
He decided to go the indie route as a way to stretch his acting chops in a movie with a claustrophobic premise, and one in which he holds the screen through most of the picture.
Rodrigo Cortes will direct a script by Chris Sparling and production will begin this month in Barcelona.
