ZOOEY DESCHANEL joins cast of YOUR HIGHNESS
Here's some cool casting news for the film Your Highness, which is being helmed by Pineapple Express director David Gordon Green. The beautiful and talented Zooey Deschanel, who you can catch in 500 Days of Summer coming out next week, will join Natalie Portman, James Franco, and the hilarious Danny Mcbride, who just about steals the show in every film he's been in, including Pineapple Express.
McBride, along with writing partner Ben Best, penned the script for Your Highness, and will star McBride as an arrogant, lazy prince who must complete a quest to save his father's kingdom. Franco will be playing his more heroic brother, who joins him on his quest. Deschanel will take on the role of Belladonna, Franco's virginal bride. And Portman plays a warrior princess, and love interest for McBride's character.
The story sounds a little silly, but that cast in unbelievable. With Deschanel being added, that's just the sweet, sweet icing on the cake at this point. It will also be nice to see Portman in some lighter fare. And will Seth Rogen most likely make an appearance, for the full on Pineapple Express reunion?
