In the future, Jake, a paraplegic war veteran, is brought to another planet, Pandora, which is inhabited by the Na'vi, a humanoid race with their own language and culture. Those from Earth find themselves at odds with each other and the local culture.

James Cameron:

I have two questions for, have you ever wanted to go to another planet? And, are you ready to go to Pandora?

We just watched 25 incredible minutes of James Cameron’s Avartar, and let me tell you... it blew me away in a way I never imagined. I thought it would be good, but I wasn’t expecting what I saw from this movie. I don’t know how to describe in words what it was we saw, but It was the most beautiful work of art I have ever seen portrayed in a movie. The effects were absolutely flawless, and the most realistic CGI effects I have ever seen. Not only was the CGI fantastic, but seeing it in 3-D was mind-blowing! This movie has to be viewed in 3-D! There is no other way to watch it! If you don’t watch it in 3-D you are missing out on something really special.

This film is unlike anything I have ever seen before. The world James Cameron has created is something you will never forget. It is rich and original. The footage we saw starts out with Sam Worthington’s character Jake in a wheelchair coming in to join this military group. It is in this military division that his mind will be transfered into the body of an Avatar.

We see the scene where he sees his Avatar for the first time, then we got to see the the mind and body transfer take place. When Jake is in his new body and walking around he gets pretty damn excited. It is also the first time we get to see the Na’vi alien in it’s CGI glory. The facial expressions, emotion, and character design was amazing.

The we follow Jake to the planet of Pandora as he is exploring in his new Na’vi body. He comes across an alien creature. and his encounter with this creature shows you what kind of person Jake really is, it is the point where you see his personality shine. There is going to be a good amount of humor in the film. I really love Jakes character, and I think you guy’s will as well. He has kinda of a modest cockiness that you can’t help but love to see.

There is also a great scene we got to see, where we got to see Pandora in it’s nighttime atmosphere, and it is something quite wonderful to behold. Jake has fun time with it as well in the movie. He’s like a kid in a candy store. Everything he touches and every step he takes lights up what he comes in contact with.

The last scene we saw was freakin incredible where jake has become part of one of the Na’vi alien tribes, and he has to do some kind of right of passage where he has to wrestle down and tame a wild flying creature, and then take it for a test spin. This scene was the most exciting of the the bunch, and it gave you an epic view of the planet of Pandora.

There was so much detail packed into these scenes that it is almost impossible to describe in words. I’ve done my best, but you really have to see it to believe it. I can’t stress to you enough how incredible this movie looks. This is going to be a huge hit, and it is the movie you have been waiting to see your whole life, I promise you that.

One other tid-bit of information. August 21st is Avatar Day and james Cameron is getting things set up in 3-D theaters around the country where you will be able to watch 15 minutes of Avatar for free! How awesome is that!
