by Joey Paur

Director Paul W.S. Anderson recently did an interview in which he revealed that Resident Evil: Afterlife is going to be shot in 3-D using the same camera system that James Cameron used in crating his incredible looking Avatar film. Anderson said:

"we're doing it in 3D and we're using the same camera system as James Cameron's Avatar."

He goes on to say that this next resident evil film will be a "re-tooling and rebirth of the entire franchise." So this won't really be a sequel? It will be a whole new imagining of the Resident Evil movies, it will be a whole new trilogy. It is also being reported that Milla Jovovich will be returning to reprise her role as Alice, which is great! The film will be out in September 2010.
