HURT LOCKER'S Jeremy Renner up for MAD MAX Role
Hey gang! here is some pretty interesting news to share with you all. It seems that actor Jeremy Renner, who recently stared in the amazingly intense film The Hurt Locker is up for the the lead role in George Miller's new Mad Max film. He is reading for the role, having some screen tests, and meeting with George Miller. Here is what he tells Modbee.com when he is asked what's up next for him.
I'm off to Boston on Aug. 19 for a film Ben Affleck is directing called "The Town." It's based on the novel "Prince of Thieves" about a group of career bank robbers. One of the robbers falls in love with a girl we rob. So it's a great crime thriller and romance. It's a lot of fun.
I'm a robber. Ben will direct and star. It also has Rebecca Hall ("Vicky Cristina Barcelona"), Jon Hamm ("Mad Men"), and Blake Lively ("Gossip Girl") plays my sister.
I'm also fighting to do the new Mad Max film with George Miller. That might be next summer. I'm screen-testing and meeting George Miller.
Jeremy Renner was awesome in The Hurt Locker and I can totally see him as the lead role in the new Mad Max film, I would mind seeing him in it at all, I think he is a great choice. And if you haven't seen The Hurt Locker then go see it! You'll see what I mean.
