Cameron's AVATAR trailer and Nolan's INCEPTION trailer to be released the same day

by Eli Reyes

When and where can you catch the trailers for two of the most highly anticipated, highly secretive and highly science fiction-y films? Well, /Film reports that the trailers for James Cameron's Avatar, and Christopher Nolan's Inception will be available for your viewing pleasure on August 21st.

The trailer for Cameron's Sci-Fi epic Avatar, will be released online, to coincide with Avatar Day! This is the day where you can watch 15 minutes of 3D footage from Avatar in theaters... for FREE!!!

Here is some info from Fox's official press release:

* The 15 minutes of footage will screen only in 3D at select cinemas and IMAX theaters.

* Details on locations and reserving tickets for this extraordinary and unprecedented experience will be announced soon.

* The worldwide trailer launch will be presented in all formats, including IMAX® 3-D, IMAX® 2-D, digital 3-D, digital 2-D, and 35mm 2-D. The trailer will also be available online.

* Also on Avatar Day: Ubisoft will unveil the trailer for their videogame James Cameron’s Avatar: The Game, and Mattel will reveal the action figures for the film’s Avatar and alien Na’vi characters.

If it' anything like the 25 Minutes of Footage Cameron showed us at Comic-Con, it'll blow your mind... but ten minutes less mind blowing than the mind blowing that took place after 25 minutes. Yeah, so. There.

The teaser for Nolan's Sci-Fi action film Inception, will be attached to Quentin Tarantino's new film Inglourious Basterds. So in typical Nolan fashion, after we see the teaser, we'll probably still have no clue what the film is about.

We do know it has an incredible cast though!

Inception will be a contemporary science fiction action movie “set within the architecture of the mind.” Leonardo DiCaprio plays the lead, a CEO-type, Marion Cotillard (La Vie en rose/Public Enemies) is his wife, Ellen Page (Juno) is a young college grad student and DiCaprio’s sidekick, Joseph Gordon-Levitt(500 Days Of Summer/G.I. Joe) plays an associate working for DiCaprio. Ken Watanabe will play the film’s villain, a man who is blackmailing Leonardo DiCaprio’s character. Tom Hardy (Bronson) is a member of DiCaprio’s team. Cillian Murphy (Batman Begins/Sunshine) and Michael Caine are also signed on, but no details are known about their characters.

Inception hit's theaters July 16th 2010. And Avatar hits theaters this December 18th.
